A pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist ready to provide expert medication management and patient care services. This 8-week contract position requires a flexible schedule to accommodate varying shift times and weekend rotations.

Location:

  • Fridley/Minneapolis area, MN
  • Schedule:

  • Flexible shifts: 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, or 11:00 AM–8:30 PM
  • Must rotate Saturdays and Sundays
  • Responsibilities:

  • Accept and accurately dispense prescription medications
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns
  • Ensure all medication supplies comply with legal standards
  • Verify prescribed medications are appropriate for patients’ needs
  • Maintain confidential, detailed patient records and pharmacy files
  • Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and interactions
  • Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription products
  • Deliver patient services including smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management
  • Educate patients on proper use of medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors
  • Compound medications for internal and external use, preparing sterile solutions per protocols
  • Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
  • Manage pharmaceutical and medical inventory efficiently
  • Identify and address drug-related problems in collaboration with healthcare professionals
  • Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current valid Minnesota pharmacist license in-hand
  • Open to retail pharmacists seeking training and experience in this setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
