This role is for a Pharmacist-in-Charge responsible for overseeing a sterile compounding operation in a closed-door facility. The position requires ensuring full compliance with USP, FDA, and state board pharmacy regulations, including multi-state licensure requirements. As the designated PIC, you will manage workflow, personnel, quality assurance, and regulatory readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge, maintaining compliance with USP standards, FDA, and state pharmacy boards
  • Oversee sterile compounding processes, personnel, and quality systems
  • Maintain and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sterile compounding
  • Hire, train, and supervise pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
  • Manage inspections, audits, and regulatory communications
  • Ensure proper environmental monitoring and documentation compliance
  • Handle multi-state pharmacy regulations, including California and other non-resident licensing
  • Collaborate on operational strategy, facility expansion, and licensing projects
  • Keep accurate records and prepare for all regulatory inspections
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
  • Active pharmacist license in Nevada required
  • Willingness to obtain California and other state licenses strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years sterile compounding experience preferred
  • Prior experience as Pharmacist-in-Charge or pharmacy manager preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, sterile compounding regulations, and multi-state pharmacy operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience in 503A or 503B compounding settings is a plus
  • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
