A leading non-profit health system is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Specialist with expertise in oncology to support their inpatient and outpatient infusion programs. This role demands a true clinical expert with strong oncology background to contribute to a comprehensive medication management approach and serve as a subject matter expert for the health system’s oncology services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medication management including ordering laboratory tests, selecting targeted therapies, and monitoring adverse events.
  • Verify chemotherapy orders and protocols for safety, accuracy, and appropriateness of dosing.
  • Educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans, chemotherapy side effects, and strategies to improve medication adherence.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff during clinical rounds to support treatment decisions.
  • Participate in clinical trials, manage investigational medications, and develop oncology protocols and guidelines across the health system.
  • Qualifications:

  • PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
  • Eligibility to obtain a California pharmacist license.
  • PGY2 residency or fellowship in oncology, OR PGY1 plus a minimum of 3 years’ oncology clinical specialist experience, OR 5 years’ experience as a clinical oncology specialist.
  • Board certification in oncology (BCOP) is preferred.
  • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, day shifts.
