This rewarding role offers hands-on experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting, combining operational pharmacy duties with specialized sterile compounding responsibilities. You will be instrumental in preparing IV admixtures, compounding batches, managing crash carts, and supporting automated dispensing systems such as Omnicell and Auto Cart Fill.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inpatient pharmacy technician duties including medication preparation and distribution.
  • Prepare sterile compounded medications in the clean room environment.
  • Compound batches and prepare crash carts to support critical care needs.
  • Operate automated dispensing systems to ensure accurate medication delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and sterile compounding protocols.
  • Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license.
  • PTCB certification required.
  • Proven experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Demonstrated skills in sterile compounding; chemo compounding experience highly desirable.
  • Proficient with pharmacy technologies including Cerner.
  • Schedule and Location:

  • Monday through Friday with rotating shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM; 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM.
  • Rotating weekend shifts required.
  • Location: Cicero, IL.
  • Assignment duration: 13 weeks with intent for hire.
