Certified Pharmacy Technician Pittsburgh, PA

We are hiring Certified Pharmacy Technicians for an exciting direct-hire opportunity in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!

This is an on-site position with a fixed rotating schedule, and candidates will receive their schedules 6–8 weeks in advance.

Schedule
Monday–Friday
Fixed rotating 8-hour shifts between 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Rotating Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule provided 6–8 weeks in advance

Pay

$20/hour – Certified + Pennsylvania licensed candidates with less than 6 months of experience
$23/hour – Certified + Pennsylvania licensed candidates with 6+ months of pharmacy technician experience

Responsibilities
Process electronic, faxed, and verbal prescriptions, including complex and higher-difficulty entries
Serve as a point of contact for provider and physician communications
Handle inbound and outbound provider calls
Accept warm-transferred provider calls and ensure the appropriate context is established
Resolve open issues submitted by pharmacists, technicians, and internal support teams
Perform all duties safely and in compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations

Requirements
PTCB or NHA Certification – REQUIRED
Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician License
Pharmacy technician experience ranging from 0–6+ months

Candidates with little or no pharmacy technician experience may be considered if they are certified and meet the licensing requirements

PTCB or NHA certification is non-negotiable.

Candidates who are certified but do not yet have their Pennsylvania pharmacy technician license may still be considered. The employer is willing to work with qualified certified candidates through the Pennsylvania licensing process. Please note: The Pennsylvania license process may take up to 30 days, and candidates cannot begin working until their license is active.

Candidates who have only a Pennsylvania pharmacy technician license without PTCB or NHA certification will not be considered.
