RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week travel contract at a tribal healthcare facility in Winnebago, Nebraska. The facility is located within reasonable proximity to Sioux City, Iowa, providing access to a larger community while working in a smaller healthcare environment.

    The facility will provide a fully furnished, on-site apartment for the selected pharmacist for the entire 13-week contract, allowing you to focus on your assignment without the added expense or logistics of securing temporary housing.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Select, procure, prepare, and dispense medications in accordance with established standards for quality, potency, purity, and effectiveness
  • Review patient medical records to assess the safety, appropriateness, and effectiveness of medication therapy
  • Identify and communicate potential medication-related concerns to medical staff when therapy may pose a risk to the patient
  • Restock automated dispensing cabinets and medication storage areas
  • Perform daily maintenance functions and ensure appropriate operation of automated dispensing equipment
  • Maintain required access and login credentials for automated dispensing cabinets
  • Maintain accurate medication inventory records, including controlled substances
  • Support appropriate medication security and help prevent diversion, theft, fraud, and medication misuse
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support safe and effective medication therapy
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Qualifications

  • Clear and active Pharmacist license in any U.S. state
  • Recent inpatient pharmacy experience required
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to medication safety
  • Ability to work effectively within an inpatient healthcare environment
