A home infusion pharmacy in College Station, TX, is seeking two skilled pharmacists to support its specialized infusion services for patients with acute and chronic medical needs. This opportunity includes a full-time Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role and temporary coverage for a staff pharmacist position, ideal for candidates interested in combining both assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, process, and verify physician medication orders.
  • Perform and oversee sterile compounding and cleanroom activities in compliance with USP standards.
  • Ensure safe dispensing of infusion medications and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
  • Manage pharmacist workflow and assigned patient caseloads.
  • Support daily home infusion pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Additional PIC Duties:

  • Oversee pharmacy operations in line with Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Maintain policies, procedures, and quality standards including medication storage and documentation.
  • Lead audits, inspections, and provide clinical leadership to the pharmacy team.
  • Qualifications and Desired Experience

  • Active Texas Pharmacist License in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1 year pharmacist experience; home infusion and sterile compounding preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of USP sterile compounding standards.
  • Strong communication, organization, time-management, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • For PIC Candidates:

  • Must meet Texas State Board of Pharmacy requirements for PIC.
  • Pharmacy leadership, supervisory or previous PIC experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of pharmacy compliance and sterile compounding operations.
  • Temporary Coverage Details

  • Coverage Dates: November 16–27, 2026 (pharmacy closed November 26 for Thanksgiving)
  • Location: Onsite in College Station, TX
