A direct hire leadership opportunity is now available for an experienced pharmacy professional to serve as Director of Pharmacy at a specialty hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role offers a competitive $15,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified candidates ready to lead a dynamic hospital pharmacy department focused on post-ICU critical illness recovery.

This hospital is part of a nationwide healthcare network, providing top-tier inpatient care under stringent regulatory standards including The Joint Commission and CMS. The Director of Pharmacy will report directly to the CEO and collaborate closely with clinical leaders to oversee all operational, clinical, administrative, staffing, and financial aspects of the pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately and safely across all pharmacy operations
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and related regulatory requirements
  • Administer and manage the Adverse Drug Reaction Program
  • Lead new employee pharmacy training and ongoing educational initiatives
  • Engage in quality assurance efforts focused on drug utilization and patient outcomes
  • Monitor patient drug therapies and develop innovative clinical pharmacy programs annually
  • Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement
  • Provide counseling and education to patients and families
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Active pharmacist license in Oklahoma, in good standing
  • Minimum three years of hospital pharmacy experience within the last five years
  • Completion of educational requirements mandated for Oklahoma licensure
  • BLS certification if applicable by state regulations
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • PharmD or BS Pharm with advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency
  • One year or more experience in pharmacy management or leadership
  • Board Certification and residency completion highly desirable
