A home infusion pharmacy located in Wayne, NJ, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a 12-week contract position. This opportunity requires an experienced pharmacist with active and unrestricted licenses in both New Jersey and California. The role involves managing pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting a dedicated team in a dynamic environment.

Location: Wayne, NJ
Type: Contract (12 weeks)
Schedule:

  • Full Time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No on-call duties
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compliance with sterile and hazardous drug compounding standards
  • Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and DEA requirements
  • Supervise and support the development, training, and performance management of 7 Technicians and 4 Pharmacists, alongside the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Coordinator
  • Maintain overall responsibility for pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance
  • Review and approve patient care plans, ensuring the appropriateness, dosing, and compatibility of therapies
  • Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active, unrestricted Pharmacist licenses in both New Jersey and California are mandatory
  • Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or in a management role
  • Familiarity with verification of sterile medications is required
  • IV compounding experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Sterile compounding experience is a strong advantage but not essential
  • Local candidates only, due to onsite requirements
