A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the precise preparation of bespoke pharmaceutical compounds tailored to individual patient needs. Under the guidance of the Pharmacy Supervisor, you will oversee both sterile and non-sterile production departments, guarantee compliance with state and federal regulations, and support prescription dispensing activities.

Location: New Castle, DE
Term: 13 weeks contract to hire
Facility: Specialty Compounding Pharmacy specializing in personalized pharmaceutical preparations

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations in accordance with master formula worksheets
  • Implement and follow SOPs and company policies to maintain patient safety and adhere to state and federal regulations
  • Maintain compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines
  • Oversee cleaning and garbing procedures as per standards
  • Perform necessary calculations and document processes accurately
  • Operate production equipment according to protocols and maintain quality standards
  • Utilize correct aseptic techniques and prepare work areas thoroughly before production
  • Conduct quality control tests and inspections to verify compounded preparations’ quality, purity, and potency
  • Stay updated on advancements in compounding pharmacy, engaging in ongoing professional development
  • Provide patient care and counseling on compounded, prescription, and over-the-counter medications
  • Qualifications:

  • Valid PA Pharmacist license required
  • Recent pharmacy experience required
  • Background in sterile compounding necessary
  • Open to new graduates
  • Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
  • Alternate shift: Monday to Friday, 10:30 am – 7:00 pm (may be assigned)
