Looking for a pharmacy technician opportunity with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends? This 13-week contract offers the potential for an extension or temp-to-hire opportunity for the right fit. You’ll work in a professional office-based pharmacy environment where attention to detail, teamwork, and great patient service are valued!

Position Details:
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Duration: 13 weeks + with possible extension /temp-to-hire
Setting: Office-based pharmacy
Key Responsibilities:
Process prescriptions accurately from start to finish, including entering prescription information and handling insurance adjudications.
Troubleshoot insurance rejections and work through coverage issues to help prescriptions move efficiently through the pharmacy.
Prepare, package, and label medications for final pharmacist verification while following established safety and quality procedures.
Communicate professionally with patients, prescribers, and insurance companies to answer questions and resolve prescription-related issues.
Perform daily inventory tasks, including cycle counts, restocking, checking expiration dates, and keeping medication areas organized.
Follow HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, insurance, and pharmacy policies to protect patient information and ensure accurate processing.
What We're Looking For:
Virginia-registered Pharmacy Technician
National certification required: PTCB, NHA, or ExCPT
2+ years of recent pharmacy technician experience
Retail, closed-door, mail order, or long-term care pharmacy experience is welcome
Hospital pharmacy experience is not required for this role
