Exciting opportunity for a Staff Pharmacist with experience or interest in retail pharmacy, ready to advance skills in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role offers hands-on experience with PV1 and PV2 duties and involvement in IV preparation, ideal for pharmacists eager to expand their clinical expertise.

Location:

Rogers, AR

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Rotating weekends every 3 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Monitor patient medication usage for compliance and potential overuse.

Maintain confidential and accurate patient records and pharmacy files.

Advise patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage.

Provide patient education on medical device usage including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.

Offer additional health services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.

Compound medications for both internal and external use, including preparing sterile solutions.

Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, ensuring efficient pharmacy operations.

Manage pharmaceutical and medical inventory accurately.

Identify drug-related problems and collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:

Active Arkansas Pharmacist License (in-hand required).

Open to retail pharmacists willing to undergo training for clinical pharmacy responsibilities.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with healthcare teams.

Attention to detail in medication handling and patient care.

This contract-to-hire position begins immediately and spans 13 weeks, offering a pathway to permanent employment. The schedule provides a balanced workweek with periodic weekend rotations.
