This opportunity is ideal for a skilled pharmacist with retail experience and specific expertise in HIV/AIDS medication dispensing. The position requires managing a single-pharmacist site without a pharmacy technician, dispensing 20-30 prescriptions daily, and maintaining a high level of patient care and communication. The role begins with a two-week training period alongside the current Pharmacist in Charge before transitioning to independent work.

Location: Winter Haven, FL
Job Type: Contract (16 weeks total)
Start Date: August 24 (includes 2-week training period)
Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense HIV/AIDS specialty medications in a retail pharmacy setting
  • Manage daily pharmacy operations independently, as this is a single-pharmacist site with no pharmacy technician support
  • Provide exceptional communication and support to patients and healthcare providers
  • Maintain punctuality and reliability throughout the contract duration
  • Utilize QS1 pharmacy software (experience highly preferred)
  • Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Active Florida pharmacist license required
  • Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience; HIV/AIDS medication dispensing experience must be documented on the resume
  • Demonstrated ability to handle pharmacy volume of 20-30 prescriptions per day independently
  • Strong communication skills with patients and healthcare providers
  • Commitment to consistent attendance and a positive professional attitude
  • Important Note:
    Due to the single-pharmacist setup, no Return to Office (RTO) requests will be approved during this contract term. Candidates should be prepared for full onsite commitment.
