Location: Newark, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire
Schedule:

  • Monday through Saturday
  • Day Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Saturday-only candidates may also be considered
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions
  • Provide medication counseling and patient education to support optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient care
  • Manage prescription processing, insurance coordination, and medication access issues
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational pharmacy regulations
  • Contribute to pharmacy workflow optimization and quality improvement initiatives
  • Foster a patient-centered environment focused on positive experiences
  • Qualifications:

  • Active New Jersey Pharmacist License required
  • 1-2+ years’ experience in community, retail, ambulatory care, or outpatient pharmacy settings
  • Experience in community health, 340B programs, or care for underserved populations is highly preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with PrimeRx, MicroMerchant, or similar pharmacy management systems is a plus
  • Strong clinical knowledge with excellent communication and patient care skills
