A certified Pharmacy Technician role is available to support sterile compounding operations and daily pharmacy workflow within a fast-paced infusion and specialty pharmacy setting. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM in Lake Butler, FL.

Responsibilities include preparing sterile compounded medications under pharmacist supervision while adhering to USP <797> and USP <800> standards for sterile and hazardous compounding. The role requires maintaining aseptic technique and cleanroom procedures, performing pharmacy calculations, and accurately preparing compounded products. Technicians will assist with the preparation, labeling, packaging, and shipment of infusion medications and ensure thorough documentation through compounding logs, batch records, and quality assurance files.

Additional duties involve monitoring inventory levels, assisting with ordering and receipt of supplies, supporting expiration date checks and product rotation, and maintaining cleanroom equipment and environmental monitoring. The technician will also support pharmacists by processing medication orders, fulfilling prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, OSHA, and company policies. Participation in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing training is expected alongside delivering excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sterile compounding, home infusion, hospital, or oncology settings
  • Proficient knowledge of sterile compounding principles, aseptic technique, and USP <797>/<800> regulations
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to perform accurate pharmacy calculations
  • Effective organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Experience with pharmacy management systems and technology
  • Ability to maintain cleanroom environment and documentation
