Pharmacy Supervisor Bakersfield, CA

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Supervisor to lead a team of pharmacists in an animal health compounding pharmacy setting. This role is responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations, supporting compliance initiatives, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement within the compounding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy leader with strong compounding experience who enjoys mentoring teams and improving pharmacy processes.

Position Details:
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM-5:15 PM
• Compensation: $160,000-$185,000 base salary + bonus (based on experience)
• Benefits: Eligible

Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists
• Set and maintain clear productivity and quality expectations
• Support daily compounding operations and pharmacy workflow
• Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards
• Maintain accurate training documentation and ensure proper compounding procedures are followed
• Assist with drug selection for dispensing and compounded preparations
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and formulation enhancements
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and cross-functional teams
• Maintain confidentiality and follow company policies, state, and federal regulations

Requirements:
• Active California Pharmacist license in good standing
• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
• 2+ years of experience managing others in a pharmacy lab or compounding environment
• 2-5 years of compounding experience
• Strong knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, State Board regulations, and 503A requirements
• Proven leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
