Pharmacist Missouri
We are seeking a Temporary Pharmacist to provide coverage at a state high-security psychiatric hospital pharmacy. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking for a consistent weekday schedule in a supportive pharmacy environment.
Position Highlights
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
No weekend or on-call requirements
Pharmacy closed on all Missouri state holidays
Approximately 3 days of training required prior to starting
No prior Oracle/Cerner or Parata experience required — training will be provided
Limited/no direct patient contact
Behavioral health experience is not required
Pharmacy Environment
Responsibilities
The pharmacist will primarily be responsible for verifying technician-prepared medications, including:
Checking medication bags flagged by InspectRx
Repackaging medications and making bag corrections
Refilling canisters
Performing barcode scanning verification after technician filling
Providing pharmacist verification and quality checks
Assisting with limited order verification as needed
Working with pharmacy staff when troubleshooting or additional support is needed
Technology & Automation
Order Entry System: Oracle/Cerner — experience not required; training provided
Automation: Parata ATP2 Packager — experience not required; training provided
InspectRx and barcode scanning are utilized as part of the medication verification process
Requirements
Active Missouri Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
At least 1 year of recent pharmacy experience
Ability to commit to the Monday–Friday schedule
Must be a local candidate
Willingness to complete approximately 3 days of training before starting
