An interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) opportunity is available within a 340B pharmacy setting, requiring onsite presence in either California or New York to address emergency staffing needs. This role offers a contract duration of 3 to 6 months with day and afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume full Pharmacist in Charge duties, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations and staff to maintain high-quality service.
  • Manage inventory, medication dispensing, and record-keeping in accordance with 340B program standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and support teams to optimize patient care.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions during emergency PIC coverage situations.
  • Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active pharmacist licenses in several of the following states: AK, AL, AR, CA, IA, ID, IL, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS, NE, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WV. Licenses in California and New York are essential.
  • Previous experience serving as a Pharmacist in Charge, preferably within a 340B pharmacy.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and 340B program requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work onsite in either California or New York based on emergency needs.
  • Location:

  • Onsite in California or New York (travel costs covered for non-local candidates).
  • This contract role offers a competitive hourly pay rate in the range of $65-$70, negotiable based on experience and qualifications. The position requires readiness to step into critical leadership roles within multiple states, with an emphasis on flexibility and multi-state licensure.
