Lead a community retail pharmacy as the Pharmacist-in-Charge responsible for managing daily operations and ensuring outstanding pharmaceutical care. This full-time direct hire opportunity is based in Rolla, KS, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Located within a supportive healthcare system, this pharmacy fills approximately 100–150 prescriptions daily and currently employs two pharmacy technicians, with plans to expand the team. The setting utilizes Liberty pharmacy software and operates as a 340B covered-entity retail pharmacy, offering a dynamic environment to apply and grow your expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume full accountability as the Pharmacist-In-Charge, overseeing all pharmacy functions and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise pharmacists, including PRN and contract staff, alongside pharmacy technicians and support personnel.
  • Accurately review and verify prescriptions, dispense medications, and deliver patient counseling to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations including Kansas Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, HIPAA, and controlled substance laws.
  • Lead 340B program management tasks such as compliance monitoring, inventory control, pricing, and reimbursement.
  • Manage inventory and controlled-substance documentation, as well as liaise effectively with wholesalers and PBM/PSAO partners.
  • Maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards, ensuring readiness for audits.
  • Qualifications:

  • PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited institution.
  • Active, unrestricted Kansas Pharmacist license with eligibility to serve as Pharmacist-In-Charge.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a retail/community pharmacy setting preferred.
  • Prior PIC, supervisory, or leadership experience is advantageous though not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of 340B program operations preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain Oklahoma licensure if needed for cross-border dispensing.
  • BLS/AED certification or ability to obtain within the first 60 days of employment.
