An established compounding pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and pharmacy operations at its facility in Albany, Ohio. This role offers an onsite, direct hire opportunity with temp-to-perm possibilities for candidates open to relocating. Relocation assistance is also available.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Onsite in Albany, Ohio
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and other required non-resident state licenses
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
  • Maintain pharmacist and facility licensure across multiple states
  • Lead Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA inspections and act as facility representative during regulatory meetings
  • Develop, review, and update SOPs and staff training programs
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, product recalls, complaint investigations, and quality-related issues
  • Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams
  • Manage quality assurance/control activities including batch record review, deviations, investigations, and environmental monitoring
  • Oversee validation of equipment, systems, and processes
  • Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Review change controls, product labeling, and annual product reviews
  • Supervise vendor qualification and reserve sample programs
  • Present quality metrics and findings to site and corporate leadership
  • Qualifications:

  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing teams
  • Experience with licensure in multiple states preferred
  • Deep knowledge of cGMP, FDA and DEA regulations, sterile injectable and non-sterile compounding processes
  • Proven experience leading regulatory inspections and audits
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Preferred:

  • 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or related industries
  • 7+ years quality or compliance experience with increasing responsibility
