A pharmacy leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to oversee operations at a closed-door long-term care (LTC) pharmacy serving approximately 600 prescriptions daily. This direct hire role is located in Lexington, Kentucky, with an immediate start date. The ideal candidate will bring strong management skills and a proven track record of reliability and attendance, given the facility’s past challenges with staffing consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
  • Manage daily pharmacy operations including prescription dispensing, medication counseling, and patient care.
  • Maintain precise records of pharmacy transactions, inventory, and controlled substance handling.
  • Develop and implement pharmacy policies to promote safe, efficient practices.
  • Lead and support pharmacy staff through training, performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Oversee medication inventory to balance availability with waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to address medication-related concerns.

  • Strong commitment to reliability and attendance is critical.
  • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, day shift.
