A pharmacy professional opportunity focused on long-term care and mail order environments is available for a skilled pharmacist. This contract role spans 13 weeks and offers a dynamic schedule primarily covering midweek to early weekend shifts.

Location: West Valley City, UT
Schedule:

  • Wednesday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Saturday: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications while ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
  • Monitor patient medication adherence and identify patterns of overuse.
  • Maintain precise and confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
  • Provide expert advice to patients regarding medication usage, possible side effects, and answer their questions clearly.
  • Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established protocols.
  • Supervise pharmacy team members including technicians and clerks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies effectively.
  • Collaborate with healthcare practitioners to identify and resolve drug-related problems for patients.
  • Deliver additional health services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Washington State Pharmacist license is mandatory.
  • Experience in Long Term Care, Mail Order, or Retail pharmacy settings is required.
