Job Overview
The Home Infusion Pharmacy Manager oversees daily pharmacy operations and clinical services to ensure the safe delivery of home-based intravenous therapies. This role leads sterile compounding activities, manages pharmacy personnel, and ensures compliance with strict regulatory standards while driving branch profitability.
Responsibilities
-Direct day-to-day pharmacy operations, including sterile compounding,g IV admixture preparation, dispensing, ing and inventory management
-Supervise pharmacists and technicians,ians including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation, and call on call scheduling
-Ensure rigorous adherence to State Board of Pharmacy laws and USP 797 and 800 compounding guidelines
-Maintain clinical expertise in infusion therapies, collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize patient outcomes
-Participate in branch budgeting workflow optimization and performance improvement initiatives
-Provide significant focus on staff training and orientation to build a strong and capable pharmacy team
Experience
-5 to 7 years of direct clinical and operations experience in a home infusion or acute care setting required
-Prior infusion pharmacy management experience is highly preferred
-Specialty pharmacy management experience considered for the right candidate
-Proven management experience with a strong focus on staff training and orientation
Skills
-Strong knowledge of IV admixture services and sterile compounding standards
-Proven team leadership and staff development capabilities
-Effective communicator with physicians, nurses,s and pharmacy team members
-Strong understanding of regulatory accreditation requirements
-Comfortable with administrative responsibilities and schedule flexibility
Qualifications
-Active unrestricted Ohio Pharmacist License required
-Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program required
-CPR Plus and CareTend system experience is highly preferred
