An exciting opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge at a new behavioral health facility in Peoria, IL. This contract role offers the chance to lead the opening of a cutting-edge inpatient behavioral hospital, working independently as the sole pharmacy professional on-site. The position requires immediate availability, with coverage starting as soon as May 25th through July, with some flexibility on the end date.
Key responsibilities include overseeing daily pharmacy operations, managing Omnicell automation stocking, approving medication orders, participating in P&T committee meetings, and ensuring a seamless pharmacy setup. While no sterile compounding is involved, the director will play a critical role in shaping the facility’s pharmaceutical services from the ground up. Training on the site’s order entry system (HCS) and automation tools (Omnicell) will be provided.
