A healthcare facility in the Duluth, GA area seeks an experienced Clinical Pharmacist specializing in IV/Infusion for a 13-week contract starting in late April or early May. Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Flexible shifts: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 12:30 PM–8:00 PM
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately while monitoring patient medication adherence and overuse.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards regarding medication supplies.
  • Verify that prescribed medications are appropriate for patients.
  • Maintain confidential and precise patient and pharmacy records.
  • Provide expert medication counseling to patients regarding usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Compound medications safely and prepare sterile solutions according to proper protocols.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, ensuring competency and adherence to sterile compounding standards.
  • Oversee cleaning and maintenance of sterile compounding areas.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare practitioners regarding patients’ drug-related needs.
  • Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Georgia pharmacist license.
  • Prior IV/Infusion pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of sterile compounding procedures and USP standards compliance.
  • Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
