Job Description:
RPh on the Go is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to join our dynamic pharmacy team in South Carolina. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care by ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications, providing expert advice on prescription therapies, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients according to doctor's orders.
• Provide counseling to patients on the proper use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to review and recommend optimal pharmacotherapy.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Monitor patient medication therapy and ensure the correct dosages are administered.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient pharmacy environment.
• Keep current with new drug therapies and pharmacological practices.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding inventory management, insurance claims, and customer service.
Qualifications:
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Pharmacist License in the State of South Carolina (or eligibility for licensure).
• 1-3 years of experience working in a retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical standards, drug interactions, and side effects.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and staff.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
