Job Title: Staff Pharmacist – Long-Term Care Mail Order
Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
Shift: Monday – Friday, 2nd shift (2pm – 11pm), rotating weekends

Job Description:
RPh on the Go is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to join our Long-Term Care Mail Order team in Wilkes-Barre, PA. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medications to long-term care facilities through mail order services. You will work collaboratively with healthcare providers and internal teams to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and timely medication therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Review, verify, and process prescriptions for long-term care patients in accordance with state and federal regulations.
•    Dispense medications accurately, ensuring appropriate dosing, labeling, and packaging for mail order delivery.
•    Oversee pharmacy technicians in the preparation of prescriptions and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
•    Conduct medication reviews to identify potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
•    Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and provide recommendations for therapeutic alternatives as necessary.
•    Maintain thorough and accurate patient medication records using pharmacy management systems.
•    Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications to long-term care facilities through mail order processes.
•    Provide consultation to long-term care facility staff regarding proper medication administration and storage.
•    Ensure compliance with HIPAA, company policies, and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
•    Stay current with new drug therapies, pharmacological developments, and best practices in long-term care pharmacy.

Qualifications:
•    Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
•    Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania Pharmacist License or eligibility for licensure before start date.
•    1-3 years of experience in long-term care or mail order pharmacy preferred.
•    Strong understanding of pharmacotherapy for elderly and long-term care patients.
•    Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced mail order environment.
•    Strong communication and customer service skills, with a focus on patient care.
•    Proficiency with pharmacy management software and technology.
