Specialty Pharmacy Technician (HIV/AIDS) - Day Shifts - Austin, TX

A leading pharmacy in Austin specializing in HIV/AIDS medication dispensing is seeking a Full-Time Retail Pharmacy Technician to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual looking to make a difference in patients' lives.

Location: Austin, TX
Specialization: HIV/AIDS Dispensing
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for contract-to-hire
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Remove drugs from stock; count, pour, or mix pharmaceuticals.
• Place products into containers and affix labels.
• Package/repackage medications as needed.
• Enter prescription information into the computer record system and type prescription labels.
• Verify and re-verify insurance benefits.
• Interact courteously with patients and team members to maintain positive professional relationships.
• Handle incoming and outgoing calls to patients, case managers, providers, and insurance companies.
• Write routine reports and correspondence clearly.
• Manage payment transactions at the Point of Service (POS) and reconcile daily transactions.
• Coordinate prescription deliveries and proactively identify and analyze problems to provide effective solutions.
• Embrace and uphold the company s core values and goals.

Ideal Candidate:

• Must have an active Texas Pharmacy Technician License and PTCB certification.
• Experience with dispensing HIV/AIDS medications is highly preferred. Please ensure this experience is explicitly noted on your resume.
• Reliability and punctuality are crucial; the team is seeking someone who can consistently show up on time and ready to work.
