Specialty Pharmacy Technician Austin, TX

Soliant Health has partnered with a reputable specialty pharmacy in Austin, TX focusing on HIV/AIDS medication dispensing. We are seeking a full-time Retail Pharmacy Technician. We are looking for a reliable and punctual candidate to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing top-notch care to our patients.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for contract-to-hire
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Remove drugs from stock, count, pour, or mix pharmaceuticals.
• Place products into containers and affix labels.
• Package or repackage medications as needed.
• Type prescription labels or enter prescription information into our computer system.
• Verify and re-verify insurance benefits.
• Provide courteous service to patients and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Handle incoming and outgoing calls with patients, case managers, providers, and insurance companies.
• Manage payment transactions at the Point of Sale (POS) and reconcile daily transactions.
• Coordinate prescription deliveries.
• Proactively identify and solve problems.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed, aligning with the company s core values and goals.

Requirements:

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License.
• PTCB certification.
• Experience dispensing HIV/AIDS medications is highly preferred please ensure this is noted on your resume.
• Familiarity with Pioneer Rx is a plus but not required.
