Retail /Long Term Care Pharmacist Per Diem - Greenville, NC
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Per Diem Pharmacist to provide medication distribution and patient consultation services while delivering outstanding value to customers through a higher level of pharmacy services located in Greenville, NC. This position is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with experience in retail and/or long-term care settings. The pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient education, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, while delivering superior customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Dispensing:
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications as prescribed by physicians and other licensed healthcare providers.
- Verify prescriptions for authenticity and ensure that the correct drug, dosage, and quantity are dispensed.
- Address patient concerns regarding the proper use of medications, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
- Patient Education:
- Provide clear, understandable information to patients and caregivers about their medications, including dosing instructions, side effects, and any precautions.
- Counsel patients on over-the-counter products, providing guidance on appropriate use and safety.
- Customer Service:
- Focus on delivering a superior level of customer service with a friendly, professional, and patient-centered approach.
- Respond promptly and courteously to patient inquiries and concerns regarding their medications.
- Inventory and Stock Management:
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels for all medications and supplies.
- Ensure proper storage of medications and adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist with receiving shipments, conducting regular inventory checks, and removing expired medications.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice, including drug handling, controlled substances, and record-keeping.
- Conduct daily checks to ensure the pharmacy environment is safe, clean, and in compliance with health and safety standards.
