Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Sterile Compounding Experience Required
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Shift: M – F 7:00am – 3:30pm or 8:00am – 4:30pm

Job Summary:
RPh on the Go is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician with Sterile Compounding Experience to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in the preparation of sterile medications, ensuring compliance with USP guidelines, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in sterile compounding.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Prepare and compound sterile medications, including intravenous (IV) admixtures, injectable medications, and other sterile products, in compliance with USP standards.
•    Accurately perform sterile compounding in an aseptic environment, following all protocols for cleanroom procedures, gowning, and sterilization.
•    Perform calculations to ensure the correct preparation of compounded medications based on prescribed formulations.
•    Maintain proper documentation and labeling of compounded medications, including lot numbers, expiration dates, and beyond-use dates (BUDs).
•    Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws, as well as regulatory standards specific to sterile compounding.
•    Work closely with pharmacists to address any issues related to prescriptions, sterile products, or patient needs.
•    Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stocking sterile supplies, monitoring medication expiration dates, and maintaining appropriate levels of sterile products.
•    Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of the sterile compounding area, including cleanrooms and laminar flow hoods, to ensure a contaminant-free environment.
•    Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, sanitation, and handling of hazardous materials.
•    Provide excellent customer service and communication with healthcare providers, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of compounded medications to patients or facilities.

Qualifications:
•    Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
•    Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred but not required.
•    1-2 years of sterile compounding experience in a pharmacy setting, with proven expertise in aseptic technique and handling sterile products.
•    Strong knowledge of USP guidelines and sterile compounding procedures.
•    Proficiency with pharmacy compounding software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
•    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in compounding, labeling, and documentation.
•    Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
•    Knowledge of safety protocols and the handling of hazardous and non-hazardous sterile medications.
•    Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
