Pharmacy Technician Los Angeles County Correctional Facility

Soliant Health is seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians for a long-term, open-ended contract position at the Los Angeles County Correctional Facility in Downtown Los Angeles. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those who are flexible with their schedules and interested in working in a unique and secure environment.

Position Details:

• Location: Los Angeles County Correctional Facility, Downtown Los Angeles
• Worksites:
  • Main facility in Downtown Los Angeles
  • Additional sites include Burlingame, San Bruno, Castro Valley, Saratoga, and Atherton (if applicable)
• Schedule:
  • Flexible with scheduling, primarily day and afternoon shifts (no nights)
  • Shifts include: 2 pm - 10 pm, 10 pm - 6 am, 6 am - 2 pm
  • Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
• Duration: Long-term, open-ended contract
• EMR System: Specific proprietary system for the facility

Duties:

• Support pharmacy operations within a correctional facility
• Prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions
• Ensure accurate medication distribution
• Provide patient and staff education on medication use
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage patient medication therapies

Ideal Candidate:

• License: Active CA Pharmacy Technician license
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of retail or outpatient pharmacy experience
• Skills: Ability to handle a dynamic environment, strong organizational skills, and effective communication
• Location: Local to Los Angeles or surrounding areas
