Job Title: Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy Technician
Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM or 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Job Overview:
RPH on the go is seeking a dedicated Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience in an inpatient hospital setting and be capable of handling a variety of pharmacy tasks including compounding batches and preparing crash carts. This role is crucial in supporting the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy and ensuring medication safety and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compounding: Prepare sterile and non-sterile compound batches following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Medication Management: Assist in managing medication inventory through tasks like Omnicell management and auto cart fills.
  • Crash Cart Preparation: Prepare and restock crash carts with the necessary medications and supplies.
  • Perform other standard inpatient pharmacy technician duties as needed to support patient care and pharmacy operations.

    Qualifications:

  • Inpatient Hospital Experience: Previous experience working in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting is required.
  • Sterile Compounding Experience: Preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Illinois Pharmacy Technician License: Must have a valid and active license.
  • PTCB Certification: National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
