Job Title: Pharmacy Technician – Registry Role
Location: San Francisco County, CA (County Hospital)
Shift Availability: 24 hours/week minimum (some weeks may require up to 40+ hours)
Schedule: Shifts start at 6 AM, 8 AM, 10 AM, 12 PM, 1 PM, or 3 PM (8.5-hour shifts, minus 30 minutes for lunch)
Assignment: Long-term, open-ended
Compensation: $25/hr 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with medication preparation and dispensing in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Work with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate medication distribution
  • Utilize EPIC and Omnicell technologies for medication management
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to healthcare teams and patients
  • Maintain inventory and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Perform tasks in both sterile and non-sterile environments

    Requirements:

  • Previous pharmacy tech experience (hospital experience preferred but not required)
  • Exposure to IV preparation is a plus, but not mandatory (for inpatient) 
  • Experience with EPIC and Omnicell systems is beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well in a busy environment
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and availability for long-term commitment
