An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager to lead the pharmacy operations within a well-established retail location in Ogdensburg, NY. This role offers the chance to oversee a pharmacy department while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. The position can be filled on an interim or permanent basis, providing flexibility for candidates seeking different employment arrangements.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Closed Sundays

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Register with the state board of pharmacy as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
  • Ensure pharmacy compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and internal policies.
  • Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, third-party administration, and inventory control to meet financial goals.
  • Lead business development initiatives within the store and the surrounding community.
  • Supervise pharmacy support personnel, manage job performance, and conduct reviews.
  • Provide guidance, training, and accountability to pharmacy associates, ensuring adherence to regulatory and company policies.
  • Oversee completion of mandatory training for all pharmacy team members.
  • Participate in patient-focused services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
  • Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, side effects, interactions, and monitor patient progress to optimize therapy outcomes.
  • Maintain continuous quality improvement programs promoting patient safety.
  • Uphold a clean, organized, and professional work environment consistent with company and legal standards.
  • Complete continuing education as required by state law.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

    • Desired Qualifications:

  • Current New York State Pharmacy License.
  • Immunization Certification is mandatory.
  • Comfort and proficiency in administering all vaccine types.
  • Recent experience in a pharmacy management role is preferred.
