Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Director to lead a respected healthcare provider in Alabama. As the Pharmacy Director, you will oversee all aspects of medication storage, preparation, and distribution within the pharmacy. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that the pharmacy delivers optimal services, complies with legal and accreditation requirements, and upholds the highest standards of practice.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

Supervisory:
- Administer designated pharmacy personnel, including recruitment, interviews, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain performance standards in line with pharmacy job descriptions.
- Develop work schedules and monitor workflow processes.
- Evaluate and provide counseling to pharmacy staff regarding their performance.
- Address the educational needs of pharmacy staff.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to enhance cost-effective, appropriate, and safe medication use.

Medication Management:
- Oversee medication storage and preparation areas throughout the pharmacy.
- Ensure appropriate assessment of therapy provided to patients.
- Address the educational needs of pharmacy staff, patients, and their families.
- Maintain an adequate medication supply.
- Ensure the integrity of the medication supply.
- Establish specifications for the procurement of medications, chemicals, and biological products.
- Enforce strict control and accountability for medications dispensed to patients or distributed elsewhere.
- Maintain control and documentation of controlled substances.
- Ensure that continuing education records and licensure are kept up to date in department files.
- Review monthly financial statistics and manage expenditures within budget guidelines.
- Administer various reports, documents, payroll records, statistical surveys, and other required data.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures related to pharmacy services.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
- Uphold compliance with accreditation standards to maintain accreditation status.
- Be available for on-call responsibilities as needed.

Confidentiality and Compliance:
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of confidentiality, including Company proprietary information and patient/client care data.
- Comply with all federal and state laws regarding the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI).
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines concerning readily identifiable protected health information.

Clinical Oversight:
- Provide guidance for clinical operational aspects of the program.
- Oversee clinical decision-making aspects of the program.
- Ensure that qualified clinicians are accountable to the organization for decisions affecting consumers.

- Home Infusion Pharmacist: 1 year (Required)
- Management: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:
