Job Overview:

As a Pharmacist with Soliant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. You will utilize your strong understanding of pharmacology and patient care while collaborating effectively within a supportive team. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verifies the accuracy of completed prescriptions.
  • Prepares prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Labels prescriptions and applies all necessary warning stickers.
  • Verifies prescriptions and refills with physicians via telephone.
  • Selects appropriate generic substitutions when necessary and permissible.
  • Obtains and maintains confidential patient medical histories in our computer system.
  • Checks prescriptions and over-the-counter medications for potential drug interactions.
  • Provides clear and comprehensive counseling to customers on the proper usage of their medications.
  • Delivers prompt and courteous customer service, addressing inquiries about both over-the-counter and prescription medications.
  • Preserves the confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Assists in the perpetual inventory management of Schedule II controlled substances.
  • Adheres to all departmental production, record-keeping, and product storage procedures and standards.
  • Follows all safety and security protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Maintains accurate and confidential computer records.
  • Complies with all DEA regulations pertaining to central fill pharmacies filling controlled substance prescriptions.

    Experience and Qualifications:

    Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Education/Training: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree required.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Must possess a current and valid Washington Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in a retail or mail-order pharmacy setting is preferred.

    Job Type: Full-time, Part-time

    Pay: $73.98 per hour

    Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
