We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to step in and provide critical support during a maternity leave in Doylestown, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for local candidates looking to make a meaningful impact in a behavioral health setting.

Coverage Details

  • Start Date: No later than the week of December 9, 2024
  • End Date: April 4, 2025
  • Hours: 24-32 hours per week (flexible weekday schedule)
  • On-Site Patient Rounds: Required from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM
  • Shift Flexibility: Between 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • No weekends, holidays, or on-call coverage required

    Responsibilities

  • Patient Rounds: Lead rounds, providing expertise on psychotropic and medical medications, including therapeutic drug monitoring.
  • Supervision: Oversee pharmacy staff and ensure safe and effective medication management.
  • Liaison with LTC Pharmacy: Collaborate with the LTC pharmacy (Polaris) to address and resolve medication delivery issues.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Conduct data audits and chair key committees (P&T, Pain Management Stewardship).
  • Prepare for TJC accreditation through regular medication inspections and compliance checks.

    Qualifications

  • Education: PGY-2 in Behavioral Health or equivalent inpatient pharmacy experience.

  • Licensure: Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year in an inpatient pharmacy setting, with a focus on behavioral health preferred.
  • Familiarity with TJC standards and HCS order entry is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel for data management and reporting.
