A part-time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) opportunity is available at a specialized opioid treatment center in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role involves overseeing pharmacy operations with an emphasis on compliance, accuracy, and independent work. The position follows a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule, from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM, totaling 20 hours per week. Responsibilities include serving as the pharmacist in charge, verifying and filling prescriptions when technicians are unavailable, and performing chart reviews with meticulous documentation. The PIC will complete internal reports using Excel and ensure all pharmacy operations comply with state and federal regulations. This role requires the ability to work independently, as technician support may be limited. Patient interaction is minimal and only when requested; there are no billing or insurance responsibilities.
