Position Title: Outpatient Retail Pharmacist
Location: Monte Vista, Colorado
Shift: 1st 8:00am – 5:30pm Monday – Friday 

Position Overview:
RPh on the Go is seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Outpatient Retail Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide expert pharmaceutical care to our outpatient community, including dispensing medications, counseling patients, and collaborating with healthcare providers. This role is essential in supporting patient health and wellness by ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Medication Dispensing: Accurately prepare, review, and dispense prescriptions in accordance with state and federal regulations.
•    Patient Counseling: Provide clear, compassionate, and knowledgeable counseling to patients on medication usage, side effects, drug interactions, and adherence.
•    Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and optimize drug therapy.
•    Prescription Verification: Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, ensuring appropriate dosing and absence of contraindications.
•    Clinical Consultations: Offer medication therapy management (MTM) services, immunizations, and disease state management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) to support patient care.
•    Inventory Management: Oversee and manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring medications are in stock, properly stored, and within expiration dates.
•    Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, including those from the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA.
•    Patient Education & Outreach: Provide educational resources and promote wellness programs to help patients manage chronic conditions and improve overall health outcomes.

Qualifications:
•    Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited pharmacy program.
•    Licensure: Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Colorado.
•    Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in an outpatient or retail pharmacy setting preferred.
•    Certification: Immunization certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
•    Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., PioneerRx, McKesson) is a plus.
