Long-Term Care Staff Pharmacist Roanoke, VA Area
A contract opportunity is now available for an experienced Staff Pharmacist to join a long-term care mail order pharmacy near Roanoke, Virginia. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and is ready to commit to a steady 19-week assignment.
Assignment Overview:
Contract Duration: 19 weeks
Schedule: 4 shifts per week
Hours: 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Closed-door LTC mail order setting
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify prescription orders with accuracy and efficiency
Oversee and support pharmacy technicians
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
Contribute to safe and timely medication dispensing for LTC patients
Qualifications:
Active and clear Virginia Pharmacist license required
At least one year of recent pharmacy experience
Long-term care experience required
Familiarity with high-volume workflows and mail order operations is essential
Ability to manage priorities, support a collaborative team, and ensure accuracy under pressure
