Long-Term Care Pharmacist Pennsylvania
A Long-Term Care pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a contract opportunity supporting skilled nursing, personal care, and hospice facilities. The role offers a consistent schedule and may be extended based on the pharmacy's needs.
**Position:** Long-Term Care Pharmacist
**Employment Type:** Contract
**Assignment:** 1 month with possible extension; 8-week contract may be considered
**Schedule:** 40 hours per week
**Pharmacy Hours:** Monday–Friday 8 AM–6 PM, Saturday 8 AM–4 PM, Sunday 8 AM–3 PM
**Responsibilities:**
* Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians
* Verify blister-packed and other packaged medications
* Check sterile and non-sterile medications
* Answer calls from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians
* Provide clinical guidance and answer medication-related questions
* Count and document controlled substances in the perpetual inventory
* Check emergency medication boxes
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
* Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing
* 1+ year of pharmacist experience
* Long-term care experience preferred
* Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks
* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
