Interim Pharmacy Supervisor Salinas, CA

Soliant Health is seeking a qualified Interim Pharmacy Supervisor for a 13-week assignment, a 200-bed county hospital located in Salinas, CA. This role will focus on managing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department and providing essential support to the Director of Pharmacy (DOP).

Position Details:

• Title: Interim Pharmacy Supervisor
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Day shifts, Monday through Friday, with potential for weekends depending on operational needs
• IT System: Meditech

Responsibilities:

• Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of pharmacy services.
• Staff Supervision: Manage and schedule pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to hospital policies.
• Clinical Support: Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy in managing clinical operations, including medication management and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and enforce quality assurance protocols to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
• Hands-On Leadership: Actively participate in pharmacy operations, including assisting with medication dispensing and resolving any operational issues that arise.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience: Extensive inpatient pharmacy experience with a proven track record in a supervisory role.
• Skills: Proficiency with Meditech and a strong understanding of hospital pharmacy operations.
• Attributes: Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team. A hands-on approach, with a willingness to assist with day-to-day tasks and problem-solving.
• Licensure: Must hold an active pharmacy license. Experience in a similar hospital setting is preferred.
