Position Type: Interim / Temp-to-Hire | Full-Time | Weekdays Only
Soliant is seeking a highly qualified Pharmacy Director (PIC) for an interim leadership role at a respected health system in Indiana. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong management experience and a solid understanding of pharmacy operations in a hospital setting. Ideal candidates will have a mix of sterile compounding, staffing, and scheduling expertise, with a preference for those familiar with oncology, inpatient pharmacy, and Paragon systems.
Assignment Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until permanent Director is hired (potential temp-to-perm)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
On-Call Required: Yes
Weekend Coverage: None
Job Responsibilities:
Direct daily operations of the pharmacy department
Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
Oversee sterile compounding and staffing functions
Schedule pharmacists and technicians
Approve invoices and submit end-of-month documentation for finance
Lead stewardship meetings and participate in P&T Committee
Provide weekly updates on department progress and initiatives
Maintain regulatory and ACHC readiness (ACHC visit occurred in 2024)
Required Skills & Experience:
Indiana Pharmacist License – Active and in good standing
Proven management and leadership skills in pharmacy operations
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare environment
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of oncology pharmacy and inpatient hospital workflow
Familiarity with Paragon Order Entry System and Pyxis automation (training available)
Team Composition:
4 Pharmacists
5 Pharmacy Technicians
Support functions include: compounding, staffing, filling Pyxis (no order entry duties)
Site Details:
Outpatient oncology infusion clinic on-site
High volume of surgical patients
Strong clinical and operational pharmacy focus
