Interim Director of Pharmacy (DOP) Kentucky (Travel)
We’re looking for an experienced pharmacy leader who can step into an Interim Director of Pharmacy role and hit the ground running at a hospital in Kentucky.
This is a small, community-focused hospital where the DOP is directly involved in the day-to-day pharmacy operation. You’ll work closely with physicians and nursing staff, oversee medication order verification, and serve as the pharmacy resource for the hospital and attached skilled nursing facility.

Position: Interim Director of Pharmacy
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Start: ASAP
Initial commitment: 13 weeks+ (possible temp-to-hire)
Facility: Critical Access Hospital
Pharmacy systems: Cerner & MedDispense
What You'll Be Doing
-Verifying medication orders and ensuring appropriate medication use.
-Working directly with physicians and nurses on medication-related questions and recommendations.
-Providing day-to-day pharmacy leadership for the hospital and SNF.
-Helping keep pharmacy operations running smoothly and safely.
-Serving as the go-to pharmacy resource for the clinical team.
-Stepping in wherever your hospital pharmacy experience is needed.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a hospital pharmacist who has already had some management or leadership responsibility and is comfortable taking ownership of a pharmacy operation.
Requirements
-Active Kentucky pharmacist license
-Hospital pharmacy experience
-Previous pharmacy management or leadership experience
-Comfortable working in a smaller hospital/critical access setting
-Cerner and MedDispense experience is a plus
