Seeking skilled overnight inpatient pharmacy technicians for a 13-week contract starting 8/24. This role operates on a Thursday through Wednesday schedule, 8 PM to 7 AM, with a 7-on/7-off rotation, providing consistent overnight shifts in a hospital inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill and prepare medication orders and extemporaneous preparations for pharmacist review.
  • Stock and replenish all medication carts, trays, boxes, and kits; perform medication returns and inventory control including expiration checks.
  • Efficiently handle distribution of medications via pneumatic tubes, courier, and direct delivery.
  • Support sterile preparation of IVs using aseptic technique, batch processing, and ensure compliance with safety protocols related to hazardous drugs.
  • Manage automated dispensing machines by filling stock, resolving discrepancies, performing equipment inspections, and conducting monthly reconciliations.
  • Respond to pharmacy requests professionally via phone, fax, and in-person communication.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to maintain workflow and high customer satisfaction.

    • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years recent inpatient pharmacy technician experience required.
  • NJ Pharmacy Technician license in-hand is mandatory; PTCB certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of IV equipment and sterile techniques.
  • Proficient in pharmacy inventory management and automated dispensing systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
