We’re looking for a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our inpatient pharmacy team for a 13-week contract at a 178-bed acute care hospital. This position offers a great opportunity for a technician with 2+ years of experience to make a real impact in patient care. You’ll work a flexible schedule with a mix of day and evening shifts, plus rotating weekends. Job Title: Inpatient Pharmacy Technician
Location: Acute Care Hospital
Setting: Hospital 
Start Date: 2/24
End Date: 13-week contract
Shifts: Rotating Days/Evenings with Rotating Weekends


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare and dispense medications for inpatient use in accordance with the hospital’s policies and procedures.
  • Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution.
  • Manage inventory and stock medications as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain proper documentation and patient records using the Cerner charting system.

    Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of inpatient pharmacy technician experience.
  • Certifications: Current BLS certification required.
  • Vaccination: Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
  • Tobacco Policy: AHC has a strict no-tobacco policy, including nicotine in any form (puffs, vapes, cigarettes, gum, patches, etc.). Candidates must pass a nicotine and cotinine drug screen.
  • Shifts: Flexibility to work a mix of day and evening shifts, including weekends.

  • State License: Pending State License is not accepted for this position.
