Inpatient Travel Pharmacist – St. Ignace, Michigan

Location: St. Ignace, MI
Position: Inpatient Travel Pharmacist
Hospital Size: Approximately 60 beds
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)
Schedule: Variable days and afternoons

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify inpatient medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and oversight.
  • Consult with physicians and nurses on drug therapy management, including medication selection and dosage adjustments.
  • Conduct pharmacokinetics monitoring to assess drug levels and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, formulary guidelines, and safety standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, providing pharmacological expertise to optimize patient care.
  • Assist with inventory management and pharmaceutical ordering to maintain proper stock levels.

    Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Active Michigan Pharmacist License
  • At least one year of hospital pharmacy experience
  • Strong understanding of inpatient pharmacy operations and medication therapy management
  • Ability to collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians and nurses
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with hospital staff
  • Comfortable working a variable schedule, including days and afternoons
