Director of Pharmacy Full-Time, Onsite in California
RPh on the Go is actively hiring a Director of Pharmacy in California. This is a Full-time, Onsite, Direct Hire position. The Director of Pharmacy will oversee the pharmacy operations from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, ensuring compliance with regulatory and policy standards without the need to take on PIC duties or staffing responsibilities.
Position details:
• Location: California
• Setting: Direct Hire – Hospital Pharmacy
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Pharmacy Hours: 7:00 am – 10:00 pm, daily
• On-Call: Not required
• Staff: 5-6 pharmacists, 6-7 technicians, PRN staff available
• Pharmacy Systems: Paragon / Allscripts for order entry, Pyxis for automation
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures
• Manage the pharmacy’s policies and procedures (crosswalk), regulatory/compliance issues, Bluesight, MERP, ASP, P&T, Pharmacy Chargemaster
• Ensure smooth pharmacy order entry operations with a focus on system and procedural efficiency
• Work with the 340B team (340B experience required, but no chemotherapy is handled at this site)
• No compounding required
Requirements:
• Solid experience in Policy & Procedures (crosswalk), Regulatory/Compliance, Bluesight, MERP, ASP, P&T, Pharmacy Chargemaster
• Active California Pharmacy License
• Prior Director of Pharmacy (DOP) experience is required
Working Conditions:
• Full-time, onsite role
• Monday to Friday schedule with no on-call requirement
• Pay rate: Competitive and commensurate with experience
