Critical Care Pharmacist - State College, PA
We are seeking a Unit-Based Clinical Pharmacist for a permanent position in State College, PA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in both the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU), as well as contribute to the antibiotic stewardship team. Unlike larger hospitals where roles may be narrowly defined, this position offers you the chance to grow your clinical skills across multiple units, enhancing your expertise in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Medication order entry and verification, medication profile review, and clinical services as needed for patient populations in ED and ICU
Participate in multi-disciplinary teams and rounds
Perform drug therapy monitoring and other pharmacist-managed consults per protocol
Assist in acute patient scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma
Position Details:
Schedule: Variable days/afternoons (mainly day shifts), 8-hour shifts
Location: State College, PA – Home to Penn State University
Relocation assistance available (on a case-by-case basis)
Ideal Candidate:
BS in Pharmacy or PharmD
PGY1 or 3 years of current clinical experience
Active PA pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain
